History of Ohnhäuser GmbH


Gustav Ohnhäuser founds the company Ohnhäuser in a former dairy. With one lathe, the young company concentrates on the repair of bicycles, motorbikes and sewing machines.


The company Ohnhäuser moves into its first workshop at Bischof-Weckert-Straße 7 in Wallerstein.


Following the death of the company founder Gustav Ohnhäuser sen., his son Gustav Ohnhäuser jun. assumes the management of the growing company. Gustav Ohnhäuser jun. completes his training in the family company.


With the delivery of the first serial part for aviation, Ohnhäuser starts to develop more and more as a supplier to the aviation industry.

The company location is extended as far as the street Hinterm Alten Schloss 17, increasing the available area. This also becomes the new company address for the next few years.


Ohnhäuser changes the corporate form to Ohnhäuser GmbH.


Driven by the increasing activities in aerospace, Ohnhäuser GmbH is certified for the first time in accordance with the Quality Assurance requirements of the Association of the German Aerospace Industry [Bundesverband der Deutschen Luft- und Raumfahrtindustrie e.V. (BDLI)].

Demolition of the workshop built in 1967 and expansion of the plant built in 1986. The company premises are expanded to cover the largest possible area and there are now more than 5,000 m² of pure production area.


Ohnhäuser GmbH is successfully certified in accordance with the European standard EN 9100:2000. In addition to the requirements in accordance with ISO 9001:2000, this includes the supplementary requirements for a QM system for aerospace.


The eventful year begins with the appointment of Marco Ohnhäuser and graduate engineer Hermann Rieger to the executive board of Ohnhäuser GmbH. In the same year, the company celebrates its 50-year anniversary. As part of the company anniversary, now all the growth possibilities at the location have been exhausted, the construction of the new plant at Rudolf-Diesel-Straße 1 is officially announced. In addition, the company updates the existing certification and is now also certified in accordance with the new version of EN 9100:2003.

The completion of the new location on the outskirts of Wallerstein provides a highly flexible available space. Approx. 8,500 m² of pure production area and 1,500 m² of office space are located on the new company area of approx. 40,000 m².


Ohnhäuser GmbH is successfully certified by the accredited certification company Dekra AG in accordance with DIN EN 9100:2003 (technically equivalent to AS 9100 and JISQ 9100) and DIN ISO 9001:2008.


Only 5 years after commissioning the new premises in Rudolf-Diesel-Straße, the continuous and sustained growth of Ohnhäuser GmbH necessitates the first expansion option. The production area is therefore increased by 25%, so following the building work with the additional 2,000 m² the total available area is 10,500 m².

Ohnhäuser GmbH is successfully certified by the accredited certification company Dekra AG in accordance with DIN EN 9100:2009 (technically equivalent to AS 9100 and JISQ 9100).
